Brad Romaniuk, CMP Co-Chair, Natural Resource Manager, Waterton Lakes National Park

Brad grew up on his family ranch in Alberta. After graduating from Lethbridge Community College with a diploma in Renewable Resource Management he went on to complete a degree in Wildlife Biology from The University of Montana. Shortly after graduating he started a diverse and very rewarding career with Parks Canada Agency. He worked as a National Park Warden for 12 years before moving into variety of management and advisory roles, served on Parks Canada’s National Incident Management Teams for the past 26 years, has had the great pleasure of working in 8 National Parks across Canada and on multiple international assignments. Brad is currently working as the Resource Conservation Manager in Waterton Lakes National Park. Brad and his family (wife and 4 kids) enjoy traveling in the backcountry and learning from all the wonderful cultural and natural wonders that surround us.    

Brad has followed the Crown of Continent -Crown Managers Partnership since it was created in 2001 and was very happy to officially join the CMP in March 2023. He is honored to be currently serving as the Canadian Co-Chair of the Steering Committee and contributing to the stewardship and collaboration within the one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world.
