Sean Finn, Science Coordinator, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Mountain Prairie Region

Sean Finn is a Science Coordinator for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Mountain Prairie Region and serves on the Crown Managers Partnership Steering Committee.  His skills involve aspects of landscape ecology including stakeholder engagement, data integration and spatial analyses. Currently, Finn leads the Crown-wide Landscape Conservation Design assessment convened by the CMP. Finn has 30 years of experience working in forest and sagebrush ecosystems where his focus has been understanding wildlife population response to various kinds of disturbance – coarse and fine scale, natural and anthropogenic – and developing adaptive management responses to counter or mitigate those impacts with the recognition that coordinated, strategic actions across the landscape are key to retaining ecological function. He holds a B.S. in Wildlife Management and a M.S. in Raptor Biology. Sean enjoys hiking, camping, volunteering and gardening with native plants.
